History of Stirling Baptist Church

Stirling Baptist ChurchStirling Baptist Church began in 1805 and has been in existence for over 200 years. Throughout the nineteenth century it was a highly influential church involved in planting congregations into other parts of the town and the surrounding area.

In 1987 the Church sold its previous building which was just across the road and bought its present site. The building originally hosted Stirling's South Church which had been built in 1853. It was refurbished after lying derelict for almost 20 years and now provides a home to a vibrant and thriving congregation.

If you would like to know more about our history there is a book available from the Church bookstall called ‘Standing on the Rock'.
