Giving
Members at Stirling Baptist Church contribute in different ways to the life and work of the church and are encouraged to do so especially by way of giving a regular proportion of their income to support the church’s many activities and ministries. These embrace our own fellowship as well as other individuals and projects both in the UK and overseas.
The information below relates to financial giving but other pages in this site explain the variety of ways you can get involved and contribute to the work of SBC.

Tax Efficient Giving
If you pay UK income tax, and would like us to be able to claim back the basic rate tax, you will need to fill in, sign and return to us an ongoing Gift Aid declaration if you have not done so already. The benefit which is not insignificant to SBC is that we can recover tax, i.e. 25p for each pound given by a UK taxpayer. If you pay higher rate tax, you may recover the difference between this and basic rate through your own tax return. Additionally, if you claim Tax Credits, any Gift Aid donations may be deducted from your income and your claim may be increased accordingly. (Please ensure you use up-to-date rules to fill in your claim.)
If you have any questions on these or other ways of giving please contact Susie Gooding, who is our Finance Manager, or our Church Treasurer, Alec Carstairs at [email protected]
