Abby works part time at the Haven alongside being a counsellor. She does amazing work with young people at the Haven and in our local schools. 
Abby lives with her dog Linda, and would describe herself as a hot chocolate fanatic (we can confirm, this is true!).

Fiona joined the team in 2019, when she launched the Forth Valley CAP Debt Centre. The centre is supported by a group of churches from Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire.

Nicola joined the team in 2024. She did her placement hours as a volunteer counsellor at the Life Centre before coming on board as our Life Centre Co-ord! She works part time as a counsellor and loves to spend her free time with her two sons and grandchildren!

Helen has been part of SBC for over 25 years having served in various areas of Stewarding, Welcoming, Pastoral, Kids ministry and Helen brings a wealth of experience from various administration roles such as within Stirling Council and the United Bible Societies.

Jen McFarland

Support Team Manager

Jen has been on the staff team at SBC since 2018 having been part of the extended church family for over 20 years. Jen brings experience to the team from her background in HR and Hospitality and has a heart for seeing people integrated into the church family. Jen is married to Brian with two children, Samuel & Reuben and they currently attend Cornerstone Community Church.

Amber Smith

Social Media &
​Communications Co-ordinator

Amber has a degree in English Lit & Film & Media and works part-time for Young Life International doing youth ministry. Amber has a passion for God and young people and would love to use the mediums of Social Media to do ministry and not just promote ministry. Amber loves hiking and wild swimming and currently attends Cornerstone Community Church.

Jackie Gilchrist

Cleaner

 Jackie started with the team in 2008. Jackie is married to Ian with one son also called Ian and with a grandchild on the way. She is passionate about bleach, Cif and cups of tea.

Caretaker

Ali has been part of SBC for over 20years and has been involved in various ministries within the church, he knows the buildings and people very well.
