Light Switch On
​Our Saturday light switch on event was a great success! A huge THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers that came and supported us on the door, setting up, serving hot chocolates, manning the bouncy castle, running craft and games tables, clearing up and welcoming all those that came in for the afternoon. We had well over 80 people through the door which was incredible! Keep an eye out on our socials for more photos from the event. 

Haven BBQ
​The Haven was proud to host an amazing winter BBQ this month! With burgers, hot chocolate, a bouncy castle, and face painting, there was something for everyone. We want to thank everyone who helped put it together and everyone who attended – we had a blast!

Cake Decorating @ The Haven
​The cake decorating class was a huge success, with participants showing off their creativity The Haven provided a warm and welcoming space for the class, with plenty of supplies and guidance from the instructor. It was a fun and educational experience for all involved. Be sure to follow us on social media for more updates and photos from this and other TOTT events!

Warm Spaces
We started up Warm Spaces again at the Haven on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and in the Life Centre on Wednesdays during Renew Wellbeing hours. Thank you to Matthew from Home Energy Scotland for his advice on energy efficiency and money saving in these colder months!

Forth Valley Recovery Community
FVRC making the most of the warmth and hospitality at The Haven - it was so nice to have people making the most and enjoying this space we have been given! 

Haven Tots Christmas Tree Decorating
The Tots group at the Haven have been hard at work decorating for Christmas, and what a beautiful job they've done!

26th October - Heart to Heart
7 week course with an aim to bring hope to those dealing with divorce, separation, or relationship breakdown. Heart to Heart will take place in the life centre weekly from 11am-1pm. Sign up here. 

9th & 16th October - October holiday weeks
Our weekly groups will take a pause for the October break.

14th October - Wildfire Worship
Wildfire are hosting a series of worship sessions at SBC. Our second one will take place on Saturday the 14th October at 6:30pm. These sessions make space for the Holy Spirit to move in power, through extended times of worship, as well as prophetic and preaching ministry. 

14th October - Kayaking 
​As part of our 'back to nature' programme we are running a water-sports session at Loch Ard! More information on Churchsuite!

8th October - Baptism Service
We are going to have a Baptism service as part of our morning service. If you have been considering getting baptised, please speak to Anthony or get in contact with the church office for more information. 

Garden Work Party
We are having an extra garden work party this Saturday October 7th @2pm to get stuck in to sorting the top corner in addition to our regular work party on Sat October 28th @11am​ Are you splitting your garden plants this autumn? The Green Team would be delighted to receive plants to fill the spaces. Plants must be able to thrive in shade, and in shallow, stony soil. Contact Alison Wilkinson [email protected]

7th October - Wander and Natter
On Saturday the 7th October Wander and Natter will be recommencing with a walk starting at Tillicoultry Glen meeting at 11am. This is a great space to enjoy fellowship and the beauty of our local surroundings! We will then go back for tea, coffee and cake to the Luxtons! Suitable for all ages and abilities! 

1st October - Harvest & Thanksgiving
We will be celebrating and giving thanks for Gods provision for us with a harvest service on Sunday the 1st October. Please join us at SBC at 10:30am!

Students Church Search 
Sunday 24th September.
Giving freshers an opportunity to explore churches in and around town, we will be welcoming new (and returning) students to SBC.

XS
Started back Friday the 15th September at 11am-2pm and takes place weekly on the Middle Floor & the McCallum room. XS is a space for over 50s to spend their time together. Do share or invite anyone you think may be interested in joining!

​Renew WellbeingOpen to anyone and everyone to drop in, our peaceful, open space offers a chance to slow down and connect with others over simple craft activities and a cuppa. Join us at The Life Centre on Wednesdays from 10:30am-2pm.

Celebrate Recovery
This Christ centred, Bible based recovery programme takes place every Monday from 7pm-8:30pm in the Life Centre. The course is designed to help people to address any hurts, hang-ups and habits.

​Messy Church at the Haven
We are going to have another Messy Church at the Haven on the 4th of June with time for a free lunch and fun! Please pray for the families at the top of the town who attend.

Eddie Lyle from Open Doors will be sharing in our morning service on the 4th June. So do come join if you are able. 

The Message Trust Scotland are running a school’s mission during the week of 12-16 June in local Stirling and Falkirk high schools (Wallace, St Mungo’s, Larbert & Denny). 
The missions week will culminate in a worship gig led by one of their bands  OTC

Wander and Natter
​Time is flying by and it is now time for the May Wander and Natter, join us in Plean Country Park on Saturday 6th of May at 11am! We will be meeting in the Plean Country Park main carpark at 11am or at 10.40am in the Stirling Travelodge carpark to get a lift and share vehicles. Please do get in touch with the office or Anthony for more information.

Bookstall
The Bookstall was a success on Easter Sunday.  It's next open on 7 May.  Do come along and have a look at what titles we currently have.  All Children's books have a 50% discount.  A couple of the Adult books are discounted too.  Adult books include EDWJ Devotional by Selwyn Hughes, Gentle and Lowly by Ortlund Dane and How to Pray by Peter Greig.  If you have any suggestions for books to be included in the Bookstall, please let the church office know.

Prison Fellowship Scotland
Prison Fellowship Scotland are running an information evening on 25th May 2023 at 7.30pm here in SBC. This will be an opportunity to hear about new volunteering opportunities at the new HMP Stirling due to open in the summer of 2023 as well as existing opportunities in other local prisons at HMP Glenochil and HMYOI Polmont. Please do come and join if you are keen to be involved by signing up via Eventbrite!

CAP Fundraiser
Mark and Helen Laing are walking the West Highland Way in mid May (15th-21st) to raise money for the CAP (Christians Against Poverty) Forth Valley Debt Centre. Should you be interested in sponsoring them then please visit their Just Giving page.
